CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT PACKING AND UNPACKING

I don't know about you, but I love making presents. I love receiving but that is another story.:P Each time I have to make a present I get involved so much in it, than after giving it, I literally feel exhausted. My favorite part when giving presents is wrapping them up. Each time I do that, I try to find new and better ways to cover the present, than an usual gift bag, found in the supermarket. These are a few ideas, that I could be using this year when wrapping the Christmas gifts. Would you try them too?

I always like using mums ribbons for packing a present. The more colorful, the better.:D

To make an original wrapping for your presents you can choose some handmade hearts like these ones. They will totally catch the eyes of the receiver.

Well, this is how I would wrap my mom's present this year. She is in love with vintage brooches.

Another hand made fun wrapping, this time suitable for a kid's present. The discovery of the present would be more entertaining with this kind of presentation.

I always loved this kind of wrapping paper. My parents used it to cover my notebooks in primary school, and I totally loved it. The color of the paper and the lace give the present a vintage look and the splash of bright color makes it more dynamic.

If the example before was vintage, this is more than that. Vintage and elegant. The packaging it's an art itself. But, this type of wrapping is suited for the crafty ones, that have loots of patience and lots of inspiration.

CHRISTMAS HAPPENS IN THE KITCHEN

C'moon, you  know where you will find Romanians on Christmas Eve: in the KITCHEN, cooking. And cooking, and cooking. Taking that in consideration, I will suggest some Christmasy kitchen designs, in order to feel good and inspired, while spending 2 days preparing the sarmale and other not cholesterol free stuff.:P

THIS TIME, EACH YEAR ...

This time, each year, in Bucharest, the Christmas season begins. How I know? The fair from The Romanian peasant Museum takes place before St Nicholas Day. This is a Romanian holiday, which celebrates children's protector, who is Mr. Nicholas. I personally love this day, because it is ours, not like Christmas, or Halloween, or Easter. It is just Romanian. And it has so much charm.
This year, I have had the opportunity to go to this fair, for 2 times, which was a delight. And, of course I have discovered many new and beautiful ideas to share with you.
My new obsession are the really nice and inspired objects made by Szast Judit, from the city of Danesti, near Harghita. I have been fascinated by the combination between the traditional way to make ceramics and the reinterpretations of  household items, from simple bottles, to butter holders, to honey jars and even salt containers. And, the colors. Well, about the colors, I discovered them in the light of my camera's flash, as it was dark. And I was totally amazed by my discovery. Apparently dark and sober colors, they have proved being  the other way round. Of course, I couldn't have left there without purchasing a bell for my growing collection and some presents for friends and family. Here are a few snapshots I have taken of these really nice objects.

The salt containers that fooled me.:D

Pretty objects for the soul.

I AM DREAMING OF...A WHITE,WHITE CHRISTMAS

here

I have already started my search for the perfect Christmas. Every year, on the same time, I start imagining the decoration theme for the red holiday. So, I am starting, as usual, from the Christmasish colors. First comes WHITE, from winter, snow and marshmallows. So, this year I might dream of ...
a white Christmas.
